How is internal technical revenue calculated?
Internal technical revenue is not attributed to any of a MSP's clients. But since this time is part of an engineers hours, you may want to use a percentage of the hours for shadow billable.
To allocate a percentage of the time, there is a setting in the options table. The percentage is controlled by the MSPCFO customer. A default setting of 50% is preset in the system . This percentage can be changed at any time.
How to change the percentage used for internal technical time
On the home screen:
- Click Lookup on the left side of the screen.
Click Options on the pull down menu.
The setting that controls the internal technical revenue is under Time logs>Internal Technical Revenue Credit in the Option Table.
To change values, click on Edit Options at bottom right of screen.
Set the Internal Technical Revenue Credit (i.e. 0.5 is 50%).
Don't forget to Save.
