What is an Aggregate Client and where can I use?

Sometimes, a MSP has a client that operates under a number of subsidiaries or sister companies. If this is the case, then it might make sense to group them under one name so that you can see the economic value of the whole relationship. The aggregate of the clients will contain a sum of revenue and costs from all of the component clients in the grouping. The grouping is done through Lookup > Aggregate Clients table.

Once the aggregate client(s) are set up they can be used in a number of reports.

Which reports use the Aggregate Client field?

You can filter on a number of reports to include the aggregate clients. The reports that use aggregate clients:

  • Dashboards - Agreement Specifics -Select all agreements for an Aggregate in the Client filter right under All Clients.
  • Dashboards - Ticket Concentration -Select all agreements for an Aggregate in the Client filter right under All Clients.
  • P&L/Client- a P&L can be selected for an aggregate client in the Client filter. Aggregates are listed right below All Clients.
  • Segments/Client -To rank the aggregate clients instead of their components, click on Use Aggregates in the Filter.
  • FFA/FFA Hour Tracking by Client- Select an aggregate client in the Client filter, right below All Clients.
  • FFA/Agreement Profitability- Select all agreements for an Aggregate in the Client filter right under All Clients.
  • Efficiencies/Efficiency by Agreement- Select all agreements for an Aggregate in the Client filter right under All Clients.
  • Efficiencies/Efficiency by Client- Click on Use Aggregates to list the aggregate clients instead of the component clients in the report.
  • Efficiencies/Efficiency by Month- Select all agreements for an Aggregate in the Client filter right under All Clients.
  • Efficiencies/Efficiency Components- Select all agreements for an Aggregate in the Client filter right under All Clients
