Days Receivable By Client By Type
This report looks at the account receivables for all the clients of the MSP over a selected time period. The report will help identify how long it is taking for clients to pay their bills. With this information, the MSP can gain insight as to which clients are paying their bills in a timely manner and which clients’ accounts receivables need to be managed. This report can also shed light on whether a client treats its accounts receivables differently, depending on the type of work done.
Filter the report on a custom time range (1) or preselected time range in the Quick Select (2) pull-down. Once the time range has been selected, click on the Filter button.
Each row of the report shows a Client Name (1), Type (FFA, L&S, Project, T&M, BT) (2), and the Weighted Days Average (3) of the invoices in the selected time period. The report can be sorted by any column. In the example below, the report is sorted by the Weighted Days Avg, from high to low.
Weighted Days Average:
The calculation is the weighted average of all of the invoices. It is the average weighted by size of the invoice.
For example if there are two invoices that are outstanding:
Invoice 1
$100 * 30 days = 3,000 $ days
Invoice 2
$600 * 45 days = 27,000 $ days
Total 30,000 $ days/$700 = 42.9 days
