Member Efficiency

What is the Member Efficiency Report and How is it Used?

The Member Efficiency report lists the efficiency by member.  Typically, efficiency is talked about in terms of agreements, but, here, the goal is to assess which members are more or less efficient than their peers.  MSPCFO is not providing a guideline on member efficiency; instead, MSPCFO is providing a relative assessment of all members in a given company.  If one member is always associated with inefficient agreements, then by association, the member is inefficient.

Some reasons why a member can be relatively inefficient: a member who is slow finishing a job or a relatively highly compensated member working on low-level tasks.

Filters

The report is filtered on a date range. You can use the 'Quick set' button to specify the trailing 12 months or a specific year for the date range (1).

Inactive members can be excluded from the report (2).

Note: This report can be downloaded in PDF format or Excel Format for use outside of the MSPCFO system. When using the '+', the report is stored in a Download Basket to be downloaded with other reports at a later time (see highlighted area below).

Make sure to press the Filter button to save the changes.

Body of Report

For a given time period, all members are listed with total hours, total shadow billable, total invoiced labor. The report only covers Fixed Fee Agreements (FFA).

The efficiency is then calculated:

Efficiency = Invoiced Labor / Shadow Billable

The report can be sorted by each column by using the up/down arrows next to each metric. The arrows act as a toggle to sort the data in ascending or descending order for the individual metric. For example, if you want to sort the data by Efficiency in ascending order, click on the arrows next to Efficiency title. The first toggle click will always be in ascending order. If you wanted to see the data in descending order, click the toggle arrow a second time (highlighted in yellow).

The last row of the report is a totals line. Hours, shadow billable, invoiced labor are totaled. The efficiency is calcualted by taking the total invoiced labor and dividing by the total shadow billable.

Click on the individual member name to see more detail about which clients are included. Clicking on the member username takes you to the Member Fixed Fee Agreements report.
