Efficiency by Client
What is the Efficiency by Client Report and How is it Used?
The Efficiency by Client Report shows you how well you are pricing your agreements for each client by comparing the value of the work done and what was invoiced for that work. Agreements are aggregated by client. For example, if a client has an remote agreement and a managed backup agreement (with labor), the efficiencies of both would be combined for a client level efficiency. The bottom row of the report shows the total hours, shadow billable and invoiced labor along with the average efficiency for the range of months.
Filters
The filters at the top of the page provide you with a way to limit the results of the report to the time frame and the range of clients within the report. Here are the available filters:
1. From - To Dates - Select the date range by entering the first month and the last month to view in the report
or
2. Quick Select - Use the preselected date range from the pull down menu. This date range will populate the From - To date
3. Minimum Labor Revenue for Period - The filter will hide the clients who have less labor revenue during the selected date range than the number entered
4. Agreement Category - Selects only companies that have agreements in the selected agreement categories. All agreement categiries are included if the filter is not set.
5. Team Role - Filters by all service leads or only one.
6. Client Types - Filters by specific client type(s). All client types are included if the filter is not set.
7. If aggregate clients are set up, the filter will use the aggregate and not the component clients.
8. Exclude internal clients - The internal clients that are set up in Lookup/Internal Clients will be excluded from the report even if there is generated revenue.
You can download the report to a PDF file, to an Excel file or into a 'report basket' (+) to be downloaded at a future time (see highlighted area below).
Once you select the month, do not forget to apply the changes by clicking on the Filter button. You can also reset all of the filters by clicking the Reset button.
Client Report
The line items on the report shows for a given client:
(1) Hours- Total FFA hours billed for the month.
(2) Shadow Billable - Amount of FFA labor $ had it been billed on an hourly basis.
(3) invoiced Labor - Amount of FFA labor $ actually billed on the invoice.
(4) Efficiency - Invoiced Labor $ / Shadow Billable $
The report can be sorted by each column by using the up/down arrows next to each metric. The arrows act as a toggle to sort the data in ascending or descending order for the individual metric. For example, if you want to sort the data by Efficiency in ascending order, click on the arrows next to Efficiency title. The first toggle click will always be in ascending order. If you wanted to see the data in descending order, click the toggle arrows a second time. In the example below the filter to only show clients for the given date range that generated > $35,000 in invoiced labor was selected. The report is sorted by Invoiced Labor in ascending order (see highlighted arrow).
The bottom line of the report shows totals for the hours, shadow billable and invoiced labor totals for the time period. An average efficiency rate is calculated for all agreements listed for the time period.
