Health Checks: Projects
Overview
Health Checks: Projects has one health check dealing with the project end date. To more accurately spread revenue and costs over the life of a project, it is very important to have an accurate project end date. Monthly labor revenue for a project is estimated from a percentage of shadow billable each month before the closing month and then a 'true up' value is calculated on the last month of the project.
When estimating the life of a project, many times the end date that you enter in your PSA is an estimate. It is important that you correct the date as the project ends. MSPCFO does its calculations for the month so the exact day is not as important as the exact month work is completed.
Time Entries After Project End
The table shows projects where the Last Date Worked is in a month after the estimated close date of the project. The end date is a date that you put into your PSA and is passed to MSPCFO. The Last Date Worked is taken from the last time log that is entered for the project. It is recommended that you change the estimated end date in your PSA record to reflect the correct end date.
You can set the table to look at projects that started after a given month (highlighted in yellow).
The report shows you the (1) Client, the (2) Project Name, the (3) Estimated End Date (taken from the date you entered into your PSA for this project), and the (4) Actual List Date Worked (last time log entered by an engineer).
Corrections should be made in your PSA.
Make sure to update the table if the Refresh is not current.
