Agreement Types
Purpose
The Agreement Types table lists all agreements by category. The first two columns in the table – labeled “Category” (1) and “Names” (2) – are imported from your PSA. Under the Names column, the agreement name, the client name, and the dates that were invoiced are listed.
The third column– labeled “Type” (3) – is assigned in MSPCFO. As a part of the on-boarding process, MSPCFO reviews the agreement categories and assigns a Type. This is done in a few different ways: MSPCFO knows when members are putting time against an agreement; some of the Categories are descriptive (e.g. Block Time One Time). The settings are then reviewed during the on-boarding process and adjustments can be made.
To quickly find the agreements that are missing an assignment (highlighted in the Health Checks), you can use the "Show only agreement types missing assignment" filter (4)
To easily navigate to a specific agreement type without scrolling for too long, you can use the Hide/Show filters (5) and (6)
The eight Types included are:
- Admin - usually work being done for the MSP
- Block Time – One Time – client prepays for a block of hours
- Block Time – Recurring – client gets a number of hours each month to use
- Block Time - Recurring with Rollover - client gets a number of hour each month to use and can rollover any time not used to the next month
- FFA – Labor agreements (labor and product)
- License and Subscription – recurring product (COGS is not Labor) (e.g. cloud, RMM, rental, email, leasing, web hosting)
- Project (included for AT but not included for CW)
- T&M - Time and materials
Settings
The agreement Type setting can be adjusted at any time by selecting another Agreement Type in the third column dropdown. The changes to your data will be done once a recalculation has been made. They happen twice a day, and you can trigger one manually by hitting the "Play" button in the top right corner, next to your name.
When you add an Agreement to a Category that has already been designated with a Type, the agreement is assigned the same Type. If you add a new Category, make sure to give a Type to this Category in the Agreements table. You can check if you have any agreement categories that have not been assigned in Health Checks/Agreements/Agreement Types without Assignment.
Recalculation of the data must be made for this option to be updated.
