Locations
Purpose
The locations where your company operates are listed here. Sometimes, sister companies are listed here and should be excluded. Those that should be excluded are businesses that are run and managed totally separate (no shared employees or clients) from the MSP business but whose data is captured in your PSA. If people are shared between the businesses, it can become difficult as hours worked by that individual would not be seen. This has implications on the cost of the employees and employee utilization.
Table
The table defaults to having all locations included.
To exclude a location, click on the Is Excluded button for the row to be excluded which will turn from black to green. In the example below, Locations 11, 12, 13, and 15 are excluded. No data will be used for reporting out of these locations.
Recalculation of the data must be made for this option to be updated.
