User Additions

Purpose

MSPCFO has traditionally used managed machine endpoints (nodes) to measure the amount of work the members are handling for a client. The user additions module adds another way to measure client work when agreements are priced on users, not machines. To utilize an accurate user count, MSPCFO looks at the invoiced agreements and identifies the SKUs related to user based pricing.

The SKUs identified in the User Additions table will contain the counts per client for use in the Efficiencies/Agreement User Drill Down report.

Settings

The first time the User Additions table is used, there are no user additions set up. Click the Edit button to set up SKUs in the agreement additions to be used. The unit count becomes the user count.

MSPCFO - User Additions

Select the Lookup/User Additions table. Click on Edit User Additions to open up a list of SKUs.

Click on any SKU that reflects user based pricing and then move the SKU over to the right. All user-based SKUs that are on agreement additions can be selected.

Keep in mind, you need a user based SKU that reflects the number of users in the unit count:

  • a user based SKU/Addition that you bill on your agreements
  • The addition needs to be unit based. e.g. 10 users at $125/user, not 1 unit at $1,250

When you open up the edit for the table, all of the SKUs are available in the left column to be considered user SKUs. Start typing in the SKU name in the "Available" text area. The system will find all SKUs that have this text combination. For example if the word "user" is included in a few of your user-based SKUs, the program will make available all of these SKUs. You can pick all that are available (>>) or select a subset of these SKUs by highlighting and moving selected SKUs (>). Multiple selected SKUs will show in the Selected list. Any or all of these on the right can be eliminated by selecting the SKU(s) and moving to the left.
